An Organisation with socio-cultural commitment

Panchajanyam Trust was started in 1998 to provide assistance for the infrastructure needs of the Library. The Trust is registered as a Charitable Trust under section 80-G of the Income Tax laws of India and all donations to the Trust qualify for income tax benefits. Some of the schemes that the Trust runs are as below:

A scholarship is provided to academically deserving students from financially challenged families, for professional education in the form of non-repayable grants. The trust has provided assistance to about 20 students thus far and all that have completed their education are employed now.

Every year, free uniforms and notebooks are provided to underprivileged students studying in government run schools. In 2009, the Trust was able to provide such support to 3000 students and since the inception of this scheme, about 5000 students have benefitted from this.

Self-employment generation assistance is provided to deserving individuals. This is done through providing interest-free financial assistance. Since the commencement of this scheme, 15 beneficiaries have been identified and support.
